1. Choose height and center line - Pick the display height and mark a vertical center line on the wall with masking tape. - Mark a horizontal line where the mounts will sit; use a level. - Snowboard version: mark two screw points centered on the vertical line, spaced 140 mm apart (70 mm left/right of center). This fits typical snowboard waist widths ~225–275 mm. 3. Drill pilot holes - For drywall, concrete, or block: use a 6 mm masonry bit at the two marks. - For soft wood: use a 2.5 mm pilot. For hardwood: 3 mm. - Keep the drill perpendicular to the wall. 4. Insert wall plugs (when needed) - For drywall/concrete/block: gently tap the fischer DuoPower 7 plugs flush with a hammer. - For solid wood: skip plugs. 5. Fasten the mounts - Hold each mount to the wall marks and drive the screws through the mount into the plugs (or directly into wood). Snug, don’t overtighten. - If using the Ski version, leave the slider blocks centered for now. 6. Set slider spacing for your gear - Skis: set the two sliders to match your ski waist width; typical range 85–135 mm. - Snowboard: set the two sliders to match your board’s waist; typical range 225–275 mm. - The tabs should lightly grip the sidewalls when the base is against the wall. 7. Hang your gear - Place the base against the wall with the sidewalls resting on the tabs. Confirm both tabs contact evenly and the gear is stable. Special surfaces - Tile/concrete/brick: use the 6 mm masonry bit and the DuoPower plugs. - Solid wood studs or panels: skip plugs; use pilots (2.5–3 mm) and the screws. - Very dense materials (metal/tile/concrete): choose an appropriate bit for that material. Removal / reuse - Unscrew the mounts, then pull or back out the wall plugs if desired. Patch holes as needed. Notes and safety - Always drill level and perpendicular; avoid over-torquing screws. - If unsure about your wall material or fastener load rating, consult a professional. - Confirm there are no hidden utilities (wiring/plumbing) before drilling.
